Job Description :

Forward Air is seeking an IT Product Owner - Intermodal Systems to work in the IT department on an Agile Scrum Team. This position will be responsible for a value stream and its development initiatives by identifying user needs, communicating strategic objectives, managing releases, and overall vision. The IT Product Owner - Intermodal Systems should have strong analytical skills with ability to translate visions into user stories; excellent verbal / written communication skills covering technical and functional subjects; and strong desire to organize and drive projects across the finish line. Candidates with experience in the transportation industry are preferred.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Serve as the IT liaison for the Intermodal business unit at Forward Air.
• Oversee all intermodal systems and databases.
• Create and manage EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) mappings with Customers (204, 214, 210, 990, 997).
• Oversee the innovation and end-to-end launch of products.
• Collaborate with business partners and customers to co-develop roadmaps.
• Drive products from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to turn data insights into actionable products.
• Continuously refine business needs, priorities, and opportunities in an Agile setting.
• Manage product roadmaps and sprint backlogs using Jira and ServiceNow.
• Document and maintain Agile Board in accordance with good Agile principles
• Define user experiences and translate features into product requirements.
• Lead the product design process.
• Execute go-to-market plans.
• Track product performance post-launch.
• Utilize ServiceNow for IT service management and process automation.
• Other duties as assigned
