Legal Assistant - Paralegal

We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant for our busy law firm who can help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients and keep the office running smoothly. You’ll be working on pre-litigation personal injury cases.

You will be responsible for communicating with potential clients, performing intakes, setting up files, contacting all relevant parties, assisting clients in property damage, rentals, medical treatment, and other related issues.

You must be willing to communicate with potential clients and perform intakes after hours, weekends, and holidays based on the assigned schedule by the firm. You will be compensated for it in addition to your regular salary.

$40,000 - $60,000 yearly

• Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
• Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence by answering phone calls and emails, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and informing the team of upcoming deadlines
• Communicate with potential clients
• Perform intakes
• Setup files
• Contact all relevant parties
• Resolve Property Damage & basic issues
• Transfer files

• Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster
• Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary
• Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Proficient with MS Office products
• Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
