Develops a recruitment plan based on department needs and assists in candidate selection process. Promotes the University at recruitment functions and assists in sourcing methods to attract active and passive job seekers. Cultivates relationships with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs. Essential Functions The University of Pittsburgh's internal temporary staffing agency, All-Temps, places employees into temporary and temp-to-hire positions within the university and that span all categories including administrative, accounting, research, IT, maintenance, cleaning and skilled trades. This specific role will focus recruiting efforts within the General Labor category which includes Cleaners, Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Drivers, Retail and other similar roles. The Recruiter is primarily responsible for the active sourcing, growth, and maintenance of the candidate pool for temporary positions and developing recruitment plans for each position based on departments needs that clearly define and and commit to service and performance criteria. The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, matching and submitting qualified candidates as well as interviewing, performing due diligence, extending offers, and onboarding employees. Promotes the University at a variety of recruitment functions such as job fairs, University and college career days, and career events targeted for special populations. Assists in sourcing methods to attract active and passive job seekers, which may include conducting candidate information sessions, cold calling, partnering with community organizations and colleges, and searching internal and external databases for qualified candidates. Leverages various social media strategies to source, attract, and recruit passive and diverse candidates. Establishes, cultivates, and maintains ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business unit and its recruitment needs. In addition, the Recruiter is responsible for providing general advice and counsel about the temporary employment process and being a resource to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory matters pertaining to employment issues. The Recruiter will also assist with data management of weekly reports and the temporary staff evaluation process.

Physical Effort Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand / move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
