Join Caterpillar's fastest-growing division in Griffin, GA as a Material Handler II where you'll play a key role in supporting logistics operations that keep our production running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for moving, storing, and preparing materials using various equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with a company known for innovation and excellence.

What You Will Do

• Cross-train in shipping, receiving, and material handling / storage.
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved.
• Load and unload materials by hand onto / from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Secure materials in vehicles using strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transit.
• Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to designated areas.
• Count, weigh, and record quantities of materials handled on daily production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by consolidating materials and following 5S procedures.
• Properly dispose of scrap materials.
• Assemble crates for material containment.
• Perform pre-shift safety checks on equipment and handling tools.
• Promote and maintain a Safety Driven workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary Pay Range : $19.31 - $24.42
