Job Summary :
Act as a critical liaison between customers and heavy equipment service technicians in a dealership enviroment. Provide exceptional customer service. Position works under minimal supervision. Schedule and assist with field and shop mechanics. Communicate thoroughly with all departments, speak with customers in person, over the phone or by email providing a proactive update status on equipment that is in for service or waiting for parts. The role requires a blend of customer service, sales, and technical knowledge.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Service the customer.
- Follow up on outstanding service estimates
- Answer the phone with an inviting and positive attitude.
- Entering a customer’s service order information into the system accurately.
- Check in and inspect new units from the factory
- Open work orders for shop service technicians.
- Review and close customer pay invoices.
- Track Full Service accounts, schedule and track parts usage.
- Assist in keeping the department clean and orderly.
- Check in and write up machines dropped off for service as needed.
- Assist and communicate closely with the Service Technician and Territory Rep.
- Communicate and work closely with all departments within the company.
- Attend and successfully complete training classes to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge.
- Assist and communicate closely with the Service Manager and other Service Advisors.
- Generate an accurate and transparent estimate of cost and time required for labor and parts.
- Communicate the recommended repairs, services, and any potential warranty options.
- Report high level concerns that do not meet our vision to Service Manager
- Provide supervision to achieve the highest levels of customer service, employee satisfaction, and profitability, and maintain TAP (Timely, Accurate and Positive) principles.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Establish and maintain positive long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners.
