Buyer / Planner II

The Buyer / Production Planner II is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and expediting product families assigned along with their associated raw materials. Create and publish production schedules that consider NPD, normal and promotional demand, plant capacity, product mix, and material availability that ensures on-time delivery to our customers. Manage all day-to-day activities relating to raw materials assigned.

This position will participate in various supply chain improvement projects, has a fundamental understanding of supply chain strategies, and can make recommendations. In addition, they have the ability to teach and train others on the duties and responsibilities shown below.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accountable for the production plan for finished goods and subassemblies based on WOS goals, run strategies, equipment, labor and raw material availability reconciling any known disruptions ahead of the production start date

Own planning for promotion requirements and execution

Release, confirm, and actively reschedule, and cancel raw material purchase orders for product families assigned, managing all day-to-day activities and escalating roadblocks to Manager

Evaluate, recommend, and maintain proper inventory levels, recommend and preserve safety stock for raw materials and WIP
