We are seeking a dedicated Civil Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The role involves assisting with daily operations of specific projects, focusing on plan production, quality assurance, and technical engineering. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager on technical design using AutoCAD 3D and undertake engineering tasks related to site civil engineering, including road design, utilities, storm drain and storm water management, sanitary sewer, site grading, and sediment and erosion control.

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of specific projects concerning plan productions, quality assurance, and technical engineering.

Collaborate with the Project Manager on technical design in AutoCAD 3D.

Execute pre-established engineering design tasks related to site civil engineering, including road design, utilities, storm drain, storm water management, sanitary sewer, site grading, and sediment and erosion control.

Occasionally assist with client contact and phone calls.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D with at least 7 years of experience.

Minimum of 7 years experience in land development or transportation design.

At least 7 years experience working with Montgomery, Baltimore County, or DC Permitting processes.

Strong background in civil engineering, with skills in grading, sediment control, erosion control, stormwater design, and subdivision design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A degree in civil engineering is preferred and increases the likelihood of permanent employment.

Experience in hydraulics / hydrology is a huge plus.

Candidates with a structural or architectural background will also be considered.

Work Environment

Our team consists of about 15 employees, fostering a close-knit environment with frequent company outings. Due to our size, engineers handle a wide scope of projects, offering a diverse and comprehensive work experience. We promote from within and are located in Germantown. The role has the potential to transition from temporary to permanent based on performance.

This is a Permanent position based out of Germantown, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00 / yr.
