As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are seeking a Workers Compensation Specialist to join our Central Business Office team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for patients, adjusters, and nurse case managers while ensuring compliance with workers compensation processes, accurate documentation, and timely claims management. GENERAL SUMMARY

???? What You’ll Do

Answer incoming calls and emails for the Workers Compensation department and set up new patient charts.

Schedule appointments, obtain authorizations for visits, surgeries, and physical therapy.

Provide end-of-visit documentation to insurance carriers and process outgoing claims.

Communicate with adjusters, case managers, and providers regarding patient work status and care needs.

Process Worker’s Compensation forms and maintain accurate records and reports.

Ensure compliance with payer requirements, state and federal regulations, and clinic policies.

✅What We’re Looking For

High school diploma / GED or equivalent preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or a medical business office setting.

Knowledge of Workers Compensation processes and payer-specific requirements.

Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve issues, and support both patients and providers effectively.
