Provides assistance to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater system.

Job Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Understand City safety rules and operating procedures.
2. Ability to compile, assemble, copy, record and / or transcribe data and / or information according to a prescribed schematic or plan. Includes judging whether readily observable functional, structural or compositional characteristics are similar to or divergent from prescribed standards, procedures or routines.
3. Ability to exchange information for the purpose of obtaining information or clarifying details. Performs such within well-established policies, procedures and standards.
4. Ability to operate, maneuver and / or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and / or materials used in performing essential functions.
5. Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference data and information, such as water and sewer maps, work orders, and City Employee Handbook.
6. Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
7. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Involves semi-routine standardized work with some latitude for independent judgment concerning choices of action.
8. Ability to exercise the judgment required in situations characterized by repetitive or short cycle operations covered by set procedures or sequences.
9. Ability to perform coordinated movements involving placing and turning motions, such as operating a backhoe, front-end loader, or ton truck, dump truck, water pump, probe rod, and various tools.
10. Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours.
