Salary Range $21.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Description

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a Class A commercial motor vehicle and requires compliance with DOT and safety regulations.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Pre-trip and post trip all equipment and report deficiencies to your supervisor.
• Always be professional and courteous, always be a great ambassador for the company.
• Make on-time delivery & customer service a priority.
• Report all delayed deliveries to your supervisor.
• Open to all shifts including some evenings, weekends, and overnights. Regional drivers may spend a few nights out per week as part of their schedule.
• Transport flour / grain / liquids / materials to our customers throughout North America.
• Assist in delivery of missed loads, moving trailers around the yard, preloading as needed.
• Confirm accuracy of BOL, Seals and trailer number after hooked to the trailer. Report any discrepancies to a supervisor before departing.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Report all spills to a supervisor and clean up after yourself.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load / Unload freight or assist in the loading / unloading of freight, if required.
• Always keep the tractor clean on the inside, wash the tractor bi-weekly.
• Reseal all trailers when empty.
• Report all detention and delays at the customer over 2 hours beyond your appointment to your supervisor.
• Remain outside of the cab of the truck when loading or unloading in all weather conditions.
• No pets are allowed in the company equipment.
• Other tasks as assigned.
