Certified Medical Coder - IL

A company is looking for a HIM Certified Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately code hospital inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee encounters using appropriate coding systems

Provide interdepartmental coding assistance and develop compliant coding processes

Facilitate revenue optimization and serve as a coding resource for internal and external parties

Required Qualifications

Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent)

Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

Experience with coding software and electronic medical record systems

Understanding of regulatory coding guidelines and compliance standards

Ability to perform coding audits and monitor internal controls
