Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, order forms, software licensing agreements, partnership agreements and vendor contracts. Support the launch of new financial products, such as Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), bank accounts and spend cards, by developing legal documentation and advising on compliance frameworks. Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear, practical manner to business leaders, cross-functional teams and executives. Be a part of the negotiating team for debt facilities and manage compliance with the legal terms post-deal closing. Review privacy laws and assist in designing data privacy program in line with new and pending regulatory changes. Serve as a key contact for litigation and arbitration matters, liaising with outside counsel and internal teams. Track and analyze legislative and regulatory developments impacting the financial services industry and provide proactive legal risk assessments. Work closely with compliance team to design internal controls, policies and processes. Provide counsel on lien laws and collection practices. Take ownership of legal areas and lead cross-functional initiatives, helping the business scale with sound, forward-thinking legal advice.
