Description :

The Operating Room is a dynamic environment catering to various surgical specialties.

Typical cases include ENT, orthopedic, ophthalmology, gynecological, and urology procedures.

Room sizes are smaller, which influences the type of cases performed.

The focus is on fast-paced procedures with quick turnover times.

Daily operations include running multiple rooms for ENT and ophthalmology surgeries.

Orthopedic cases can involve sports medicine, podiatry, and total knee surgeries.

Gyn procedures involve laparoscopic cases including hysteroscopies and D&Cs.

Urology procedures such as cystoscopies and prostate biopsies are also performed.

Robotic surgery and extensive plastic surgeries are limited due to the facility's specifications.

This setting operates Monday through Friday and is closed on weekends and holidays.

The average number of cases handled per day ranges from 80 to 120.

The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with a 24 / 7 poly trauma response capability.

Various service lines include orthopedic surgery, neuro surgery, bariatric surgery, and basic ENT cases.

The charting system utilized is EPIC.
