Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Development Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for completing sound financial analysis and preparing regular reports and tasks based on organizational objectives. The Financial Analyst may provide backup in the absence of other Finance and Accounting staff. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible.

Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in preparing financial models for the purchase and development of multifamily housing.Update financial models to stay aligned with construction budgets and changes.Analyze project costs to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgets.Prepare accurate land closing budgets for new acquisitions.Track project performance and confirm we’re meeting debt service obligations.Provide appraisers with requested information and support throughout the appraisal process.Monitor and update the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) tracker for active projects.Participate in relevant department meetings.All other related duties, as assigned, including special projects.Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting requiredIn lieu of degree, 3 years of related experience requiredKnowledge of real estate preferredFinancial analysis and modeling experience preferredGeneral computer proficiency within Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements :
Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, desk phones, cell phones, photocopiers, etc.Must be able to navigate stairs occasionally, particularly in the event of elevator outages or during emergency situations.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally.Attendance and Scheduling :
Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential for success in this role, and employees must adhere to set start times and assigned schedules.Occasional travel may be required for team outings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, estimated at less than 5% annually.Work Environment :
