Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Non-Exempt / Hourly 8 am-4 : 30 p m

$19-24 / HR; Compensation based on experience

Job Summary

The Loan Closing Specialist (LCS) plays an integral part in Milwaukee Habitat's mission to provide affordable housing solutions by coaching homebuyers through the closing process. The LCS works with homebuyers to collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation. The LCS also works as the point of contact while our homebuyers are going through the last part of our home-buying program by preparing all loan documents and disclosures, as well as facilitating the completion of real estate loan closings.

Responsibilities

• Process loan applications in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Perform basic income calculations, assets, and collateral documentation in accordance with established policies
• Complete and maintain state and federal loan originator certifications
• Prepare file close-out for post-closing compliance and funding audits
• Submit a complete and accurate loan application package to lending partners for review
• Prepare all documentation required for closing
• Submit paperwork for down-payment subsidies and assistance programs
• Conduct partner family final countdown to closing education meetings
