Who we are looking for
As a Staff User Researcher, you will be a driving force behind our commitment to deliver exceptional user experiences. In this pivotal role, you will strike a careful balance between conducting detailed, hands-on micro-research and usability evaluations to uncover user insights, while also leading strategic user research initiatives that shape product vision across As the dedicated Researcher on this product team, you thrive as an independent and proactive leader.
Key Responsibilities :
User Research Strategy and Execution :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Research strategy that aligns with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
- Implement hands-on, micro-level usability research to unveil intricate customer problems and perspectives, recognizing that sometimes the smallest details can have the biggest impact on user experience.
- Lead sophisticated, cross-functional research that spans multiple products or platforms, ensuring consistency and coherence in the user experience.
Product Vision :
Collaborate with leadership and product teams to craft the long-term mission and tactical plan for our products, ensuring a deep integration end-user desires and behaviors.Take on the role of a passionate advocate for human-centric design approaches, fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes customer understanding and addresses the needs of our diverse user base.Collaborator Engagement and Influence :
Possess exceptional leadership skills, encouraging positive relationships with collaborators across multiple subject areas, including executive leadership.Apply your expertise and credibility to influence decision-making at the highest levels, ensuring user insights are reflected in the product's strategic roadmap.Mentor and guide a team of Designers, Product Managers and Engineers who conduct their own customer research efforts, providing leadership, mentorship, and oversight to ensure high-quality outcomes.Storytelling and Communication Mastery :
Craft compelling narratives that bring user insights to life, using video, data visualization, personas, journey maps, and other techniques to effectively communicate research findings.Excellent Communicator with strong presentation design skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Through your leadership and influence, inspire all teams to adopt user compassion as motivation underpinning our product development.Qualifications :
Demonstrated ability in user research, leading research initiatives and influencing thinking to improve outcomes for the end user.Extensive expertise in mix-methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, and data analysis techniques.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, from product teams to executive leadership and external partners.Validated ability to lead, mentor, and develop user research teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Exceptional consensus building skills to drive alignment across wide range of teams.Proven experience in shaping how collaborators think based on user insights.Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally in cross-functional and matrixed environments.Nice-to-Haves

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The pay range for this position is $132,400 $250,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
