As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator.\n\nYour responsibilities will include assessing and planning individualized patient care, implementing and coordinating care with the healthcare team, and supervising non-RN personnel. In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to serve as a Charge Nurse and educate patients and their families.\n\nResponsibilities\n
- Continuously assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions throughout their care journey.\n
- Develop, communicate, and document personalized care plans that involve patients, families, and the healthcare team.\n
- Implement and coordinate care plans effectively with the healthcare team.\n
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary revisions while ensuring patient readiness for discharge.\n
- Determine educational needs and provide learning opportunities for patients and families, documenting outcomes.\n
- Serve as a preceptor to new staff, fostering their development.\n
- Lead as a Charge Nurse, ensuring smooth unit operations.\n
- Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and personal development.\n
- Continuously demonstrate competency in caring for neuro patients, including specialized skills in neuro assessment and airway management.\n
- Assist physicians during special neuro procedures and demonstrate understanding of our 'TIA' teaching program.\n
- Perform suctioning according to established policies and procedures.\n
- Skillfully care for patients in halo braces and ventilators, executing required nursing responsibilities.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
