About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Circulating RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 07 : 00 - 15 : 00

Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience required

License : RN License required

Certifications : BLS required; PALS and NRP preferred

Must-Have :

Must be proficient in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, and laparoscopic assisted cases.

Experience in general surgery procedures, such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernia repair is necessary.

Skills in gynecological procedures, including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, C-sections, and D&C are essential.

Proficiency in orthopedic procedures such as ACL reconstruction and total joint replacement is required.

Experience in pediatric general surgery procedures is also needed.

Candidates must be able to respond to on-call duties within a 30-minute timeframe.

Travel experience is preferred.

Knowledge of Cerner EMR is beneficial.

Description :

This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room.

The nurse will circulate for various surgical cases including but not limited to general, orthopedic, gynecology, and pediatric surgery.

The schedule consists of Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities every fourth weekday and every fourth weekend, including some holidays.

A total of 16 hours of orientation is required.

Candidates must possess a valid RN license and submit proof of required certifications.

This role involves working in both an ambulatory and general operating room setting and is focused on providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team are essential.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols during surgeries.

Adhering to the Universal Protocol, including time-outs prior to procedures, is mandatory.

Documentation of procedures and patient care must be completed accurately and timely.
