Cloud Data Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Consultant / Data Engineer to design and deliver cutting-edge analytics solutions that empower our clients to make data-driven decisions. While the primary focus is on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric , experience with other BI platforms such as Tableau, Infor Birst, or Qlik , as well as modern ETL and data integration practices, will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models using DAX and Power Query.Architect, implement, and manage Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, Dataflows Gen2, and DirectLake connections.Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, design prototypes, demo solutions, and ensure adoption.Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines using Microsoft-native tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SSIS , or Fabric Dataflows Gen2.Utilize dbt or similar SQL-based transformation frameworks to enhance data processing.Manage BI deployment pipelines using Git-based workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub).Document processes, create standards, and mentor team members to promote BI best practices .Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering with a strong BI focus.Advanced proficiency in Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, and deployment pipelines).Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components and the broader Azure ecosystem.Strong SQL expertise and familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable).Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SSIS, or dbt.Proven experience in client-facing or consulting roles - from requirement gathering to delivery and adoption.Exposure to additional BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, Infor Birst, or Looker .Solid understanding of data governance, access control , and performance optimization principles.Preferred / Valued Experience :
Microsoft Certifications (Power BI, Fabric, or Azure).Experience with data governance / catalog tools such as Microsoft Purview, Alation, or Collibra .Familiarity with cloud warehouses / lakehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Synapse .Experience integrating data through APIs or OData connectors .Basic understanding of AI / ML data preparation for predictive analytics.Experience using Python or PySpark for data transformations.Exposure to data migration projects (on-premises to cloud).
