IMCS GROUP is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Bronx, New York.

Job Description :

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (PACU) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural anesthesia.

The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and assess patients’ recovery from anesthesia, ensuring stability of vital signs and comfort levels.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC (Electronic Health Record).
  • Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain a safe and sterile environment in compliance with hospital and nursing standards.

    • Requirements :

  • Active RN License (New York)
  • Minimum 1 year of PACU or acute care nursing experience
  • Certifications : Basic Life Support ( BLS )
  • Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
