Out-Patient Therapy Director (ALF)

• Position Summary :

The Outpatient Therapy Director oversees the planning, development, marketing and operations of the outpatient rehabilitation services. This leadership role ensures high-quality therapy care, regulatory compliance, team management, and alignment with the facility's overall goals to improve residents' functional outcomes and quality of life.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Direct and manage all aspects of outpatient therapy services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
• Lead, supervise, and support a team of therapists and therapy assistants.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Track and analyze therapy outcomes, patient satisfaction, and productivity metrics.
• Manage department budget, staffing, and scheduling to meet operational and financial goals.
• Serve as the liaison between therapy staff, residents, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based treatment practices.
• Facilitate staff training and development to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory audits.
• Manage marketing and program development to grow the outpatient program.
• Qualifications :
• Current license as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant or Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience in outpatient or geriatric therapy strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of Medicare Part B regulations and ALF dynamics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
• Work Environment :

This position operates within an ALF that offers outpatient therapy services. It may require occasional lifting, standing, and interaction with residents who have varying levels of physical and cognitive function.
