Description

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of data used across enterprise programs. This role will serve as a key link between business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams-establishing governance standards, monitoring data quality, and supporting the effective use of data for decision-making. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and a passion for data-driven improvement.

This role is contingent upon funding award and requires onsite presence at the USCG St. Elizabeths campus three days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

• Define, implement, and maintain data governance standards and policies.
• Monitor and manage data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Oversee data governance activities for a specific functional domain or team.
• Partner with business units to document data definitions, lineage, and ownership.
• Support compliance with federal and organizational data standards.
• Ensure the responsible and ethical use of data, in accordance with organizational policies and standards
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and program teams to resolve data issues.
• Develop and maintain metadata repositories, glossaries, and stewardship documentation.
• Provide guidance on best practices for data management and usage.
• Support reporting and analytics by ensuring trusted, high-quality data sources.
