Field Sales Representative

This position is accountable for "customer attendance" to meet defined sales growth targets through maintenance of existing customer base and identify new business opportunities. Plan, develop, coordinate and implement sales and marketing activities relative to key accounts. Manage and support sales efforts of regional distributors. Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets and report findings back to B / L management. Identify and coordinate technical service projects with customers and prepare requisite reports. Support BL initiatives in the Americas and implement pricing strategy. This position should act as the "voice of the customer & market" internally while being the "voice of the company" externally.

The ideal candidate location is Southern California (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Managing customer interfaces and building / expanding relationships with key & direct customers in order to drive sales growth.
  • Hunt, sell, negotiate, and close opportunities to meet contribution margin targets for the assigned territory.
  • Collecting market & competitive intelligence and the development of account plans / strategies.
  • Forecasting (IBP) and budgeting (MTP) of sales volumes by customer.
  • Analysis and maintenance of local sales activity, inventory requirement, technical service requirements.
  • Planning and development local market needs, including recommendation for lab projects.
  • Develop pre-call plans, expense budgets, and writing monthly reports.
  • Management & reporting of opportunity pipeline, aligned with Market Segment Teams, in order to support growth goals.
  • Ensuring timely, accurate usage of CRM for call reporting, opportunities, price & offer management, competitive information.
  • Managing / mitigating business loss / risks at accounts.
  • Ensure high level "customer attendance" to grow volume, sales & CM of CAD AMR to meet financial targets.
  • Support alignment with Market Segment Teams.
  • Support team culture with a growth-oriented, motivated, and professional mindset.
  • Actively manage and grow opportunity pipeline

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of sales experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across different cultures and within a complex matrix organization.
  • Open-minded, impartial, and adaptable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and CRM systems.
  • Summary Compensation & Benefits :

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

    Pay Range : $108,500-$197,000 per year
