Howmet Engine Systems is currently seeking an experienced Operations professional to join our team in Hampton, Virginia. Essential Duties & Responsibilities, not limited to :

Coordinate work orders for production equipment.

Attend meetings with manufacturing and engineering personnel to develop scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements.

Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

Utilize basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies.

Train and mentor less experienced technicians on maintenance best practices for their respective area and equipment.

Develop processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime.

Leads work efforts for specific project tasks.

Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.

Ability to work in team environments, Solo work and working with all levels management, Eng and people.

Willing to participate in continuous improvements initiatives within our process to enhance the work task.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

Education :

• Certification in mechanical, electrical, or apprenticeship preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in mechatronics preferred.

Skills and Abilities :

Experience :

Preferred Qualifications (For this position to be successful) :

Experience with vacuum casting furnaces, injection press machines, and / or Fanuc & Motoman robotic systems is preferred.
