Responsibility : This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Material Control Safety Office located in the West 4th Street station. Duties include developing and monitoring forecasts of personal protective equipment (PPE) used by MOW personnel as well as monitoring inventory levels, preparing orders, and directing the issuance of PPE to new MOW employees. This position will communicate directly with Procurement, Supply Logistics, Business Service Center, Operations Training as well as with the various subdivisions of MOW. This position is also responsible for ensuring the accountability of personnel and supplies, inspecting storage areas, and scheduling material deliveries and pick-ups.

Education and Experience : Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity. Desired Skills : Must have good knowledge of the NYCT material ordering procedures, this includes knowledge of TALON and CMS. Must have knowledge of the various storerooms and safety supply requirements for MOW. Must be capable of developing and organizing inventory stock and generating distribution reports. General computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs are required. Must be able to make independent decisions and possess excellent communication skills.
