The Boeing Company is seeking a Support Engineering Technical Manager in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The role focuses on overseeing the Technical Publications team for the USN Fighter Weapons and Trainers Division of Boeing Maintenance Engineering. The position will lead technical publications work statements for F / A-18 Hydro Mechanical and Wiring, F-15 Wiring and Defense Weapons publications, assist with integration of domestic and international Maintenance Engineering Production and Quality activities, develop new product offerings and strategies, and manage, develop, and motivate a team of employees.
Position Responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge of product support / logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities.
- Manages employees performing activities related to Technical Publication Authoring, Production and Quality Reviews of Technical Manuals.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets quality goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field3+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support or Product SupportExperience delivering to internal and external customersExcellent verbal and written communication skills in an engineering environment3+ years of experience working with U.S. Government customersExperience as a lead or managerPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)
5+ years in the Aerospace & Defense industry and / or military3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting engineering data for maintenance manuals and technical publicationsExperience as a CAM (cost account manager) in Earned Value Management (EVM)Experience with program / project managementExperience using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)Experience with fighter aircraftExperience as a leader or managerAdditional Information
