Summary\n\nJob Title : Registered Nurse - Oncology\n\nLocation : Carroll Hospital, Westminster, MD\n\nSchedule : PRN, On-Site | Open Monday - Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM\n\nOverview : \n\nCarroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse - Oncology to join our dedicated oncology team. This is a PRN, on-site role providing direct patient care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision\n
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed\n
• Assess patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions, including abnormal lab results, drug reactions, and clinical changes\n
• Document nursing assessments, medication administration, and patient education accurately in patient records\n
• Manage and educate patients / caregivers on infusion pump use for home care\n
• Facilitate dose modifications in collaboration with the physician, based on patient status and treatment protocols\n
• Ensure proper preauthorization and consent documentation for therapies\n
• Maintain knowledge of reimbursement and complete all chemotherapy charge forms\n
• Triage patient calls, manage refill requests, and document communications thoroughly\n
• Adhere to infection control standards, universal precautions, and OSHA guidelines for handling hazardous materials\n
• Support hospital safety goals and regulatory compliance standards\n\nRequirements : \n
• Current Maryland RN license\n
• Ambulatory Infusion experience required\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\n
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills\n
• Ability to educate and support patients and caregivers effectively\n
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive communication style\n\nCertifications (Required Upon Hire Or Within Specified Timeframes) : \n
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certification - within 1 year of hire\n
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification - within 2 years of eligibility (Eligibility : Minimum 2 years of practice and 2,000 hours in oncology nursing in the past 4 years)\n\nWhat We Offer : \n
