Description :

The unit comprises 35 beds with patient ratios of 5-7 : 1.

Unit staffing includes techs per census, typically 2-4.

Equipment utilized includes vitals machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners.

Documentation is completed using the Meditech system.

Shifts are 12 hours, requiring coverage every other weekend.

The floating policy may require movement to other medical-surgical departments.

Preferred experience includes rehabilitation; however, advanced skills are not necessary.

Procedures performed on this unit include medication administration, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheterization, bladder irrigation, and blood administration.

The dress code is navy blue or white solid scrubs.

Employees have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other specialists.
