BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION : This position supervises a staff of four and oversees the development of grant applications, licensing of marine oil terminal facilities, the development of oil spill reporting agreements, and the processing of site location variance applications for aboveground and underground oil storage facilities. The position will also recommend regulatory changes and participate in the promulgation process to amend the rules for marine terminals and waste oil management. The position will oversee the inspection, investigation, and remediation of petroleum management and remediation sites. The position will also oversee the development of sensitive correspondence regarding licensing, enforcement, and restoration planning activities. The position collaborates with staff throughout the Department as needed to achieve Department goals. Work is performed under limited supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : An eight (8) year combination of education and / or experience in environmental science or related area which includes at least two (2) years of supervisory or program management / administration experience. Qualifying education must include at least 15 credit hours of science or engineering coursework.
