Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (ER) – 101 beds Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : November 23, 2025 End Date : February 22, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Days (10 : 45AM – 11 : 15PM) Hours per Week : 36 Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexibility to meet department needs ER RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting Preferred : Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000 annual visits) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS ENPC certification within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to excellent patient experience Dress Code : Navy scrubs Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population Manage patient ratios typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds Utilize Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document care using Cerner EMR Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain updated patient boards and communicate effectively throughout each visit Uphold department policies, guidelines, and attendance standards Contribute to a positive and inclusive healthcare team culture Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your ER nursing career with this travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina!
