Job descriptionProvide first assist support for cardiothoracic surgery, including vein harvesting Perform daily hospital rounding on CVICU and telemetry patients following cardiac surgery Rotate coverage between CVICU and other units as required Participate in 24-hour call coverage with daytime rounding responsibilities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II trauma center environment Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination Active FL license required Minimum 1 year of first assist experience required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required Experience in Level II trauma centers or higher is a bonus Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Florida, starting Nov 21, 2025. This 24-day opportunity includes 24-hour call shifts starting at 7 am, with day rounding up to 8 hours, covering cardiothoracic surgery first assist duties and post-operative care in the CVICU and telemetry units.
