American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring a current ME or compact RN license and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital Emergency Department settingNight shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AMAssignment length is 13 weeksCare for patients of all age groups in an emergency settingResponsibilities include patient assessment, nursing care planning, executing care interventions, and documenting in compliance with hospital policiesEffective verbal and written communication with the health care team requiredMust participate in emergency / disaster preparedness planning and hospital drillsExpected to support quality improvement initiatives and provide patient educationExposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, and chemicals is possibleFirst time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n
Active Maine or compact RN licenseMinimum of 1 year of nursing experience requiredCurrent, unexpired BLS certification is requiredACLS certification is preferredAbility to perform nursing assessments, medication administration, and care for patients across all age groupsMust be able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 30 lbs and moving patients in wheelchairs and stretchersRequired immunizations : Varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD (2-step or titer within past 12 months), flu shot required during flu season\n Benefits\n
