CVICU RN Job Details

Location : Tucson, Arizona 85745

Healthcare Setting : Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – 40-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (weekly starts available)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 2, with clinical tech support

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification – required

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience

Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to advanced cardiac and critical care treatments

Manage complex procedures including CRRT, Impella, IABP, EKOS, and other advanced cardiac devices

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
