Summary
We are representing a well-established and growing mechanical contractor that specializes in plumbing scopes for multifamily and commercial projects across the region. With a steady pipeline of ground-up and rehab projects, the team is looking to add a sharp, detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to support ongoing bidding efforts and help drive strategic growth.
Position
As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction process—developing accurate, competitive estimates and collaborating closely with the GM, project managers, and field teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to be a key part of a high-performing estimating team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing scopes across multifamily and commercial construction projects
Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs from plans and specifications
Review project drawings, specs, and addenda to determine scope of work and identify risks
Solicit and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors
Collaborate with the GM and project team to strategize bid approach and value engineering opportunities
Assist in preparing proposals, bid forms, and documentation for submission
Maintain and update estimating databases, templates, and historical pricing
Support preconstruction meetings and project handoffs to operations
Qualifications
3+ years of experience estimating plumbing scopes in the construction industry (multifamily/commercial preferred)
Strong understanding of plumbing systems, labor productivity, and local building codes
Proficient in takeoff software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines
Clear communicator and team player who can collaborate across departments
