Position : Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

Location : Emergency Shelter, Monroe County, Georgia, and other designated zones as per contract requirements

Employment Type : Temporary / Contract Basis

Job Summary :

The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) will provide comprehensive mental health services within the emergency shelter facilities operated under the Georgia Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness program. The LCPC will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and will be responsible for offering mental health support, crisis intervention, and counseling to individuals in the shelter. This position requires adherence to all state and federal regulations within the scope of practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Mental Health Services :

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to provide psychological support for shelter guests.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans and therapy programs tailored to the needs of individuals.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and de-escalation for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
• Provide mental health education and coping strategies to individuals and their families.
