Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support equipment uptime and reliability in a fast-paced industrial environment for our client in Trenton, NJ. The ideal candidate will be experienced in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and performing preventative maintenance. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
Pay Rate : $34.25 / hour + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Shifts Available :
- MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION / TRAINING ON 1st SHIFT
- 4th Shift : Friday – Sunday, 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
- 3rd Shift : Sunday - Thursday, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM
- 2nd Shift : Monday - Friday, 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM
Key Responsibilities :
Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.Diagnose mechanical malfunctions using diagrams, sketches, manuals, and test instruments.Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Identify sources of mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation and using precision tools.Remove and replace defective parts using hand and power tools, hoists, and diagnostic equipment.Inspect used parts and measure components with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to determine wear and dimensional accuracy.Adjust functional components using appropriate tools and techniques.Fabricate and machine replacement parts using shop equipment such as milling machines, drill presses, lathes, and welding equipment.Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders for equipment, tools, and parts as needed.Maintain technical knowledge by attending training, reviewing manuals, and networking with peers.Document maintenance actions, report irregularities, and communicate ongoing needs across shifts.Read and interpret blueprints to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety protocols.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues and share solutions.Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for logging tasks and tracking repairs.Provide training and support to line mechanics and apprentices as required.Follow all safety regulations to prevent workplace hazards.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements :
Proven experience as an industrial or maintenance mechanic.Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments and machine tools.Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and engineering documentation.Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working in industrial environments.Must pass a medical examination (including X-ray).No serious medical conditions that could hinder job performance.Benefits :
