Duration : 13 weeks

Shift / Schedule : 36 hours / week

12-hour shifts, 3 days / week

Schedule Notes : Must have travel experience; must have step-down experience. This is a Med / Surg surgical unit (not OR). Acute care surgical floor experience required. ENT and / or Transplant experience preferred. Ratios : 5-6 : 1 for surgical patients; 3-4 : 1 for step-down care.

Pay Rate : $65 / hour

Job Responsibilities :

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with simple to complex health conditions.
• Manage an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses and changes in condition; update physician orders as needed.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures.
• Obtain, monitor, and respond to physiological data.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans with patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and discharge processes.
• Refer patient needs to appropriate personnel.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Must have Med / Surg and acute care surgical floor experience.

Required : Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Active Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact RN license (eNLC).

Strong knowledge of nursing theory, principles, and practices.
