Senior Strategy Market Intelligence Analyst
The Senior Strategy Market Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in shaping business decisions by providing data-driven insights into market trends, competitive landscapes and strategic opportunities. This position will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, design and develop data models and dashboards, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities :
- Market Research & Analysis : Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, customer behavior, and emerging markets.
- Analyze data from surveys, reports, competitor activities and internal data sources
- Competitive Intelligence : Monitor and evaluate competitor strategies, pricing, product offerings, and positioning.
- Identify threats and opportunities based on competitor movements.
- Strategic Insights : Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for business strategy.
- Support product development, marketing, and sales with market-driven insights.
- Reporting & Visualization : Create presentations, reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Use tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI and SQL for data visualization and analysis.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams across marketing, product, finance, and executive leadership.
- Align market intelligence with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Reporting : Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau
- Monitor data quality and integrity and troubleshoot reporting issues.
- Business Strategy Support : Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and optimization.
- Data Modeling and Visualization : Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Create compelling visualizations that communicate complex data in a clear and actionable way.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Work with executives, managers, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Process Improvement : Identify gaps in current state - data collection, reporting processes, and propose improvements.
- Automate recurring reports and streamline data workflows.
Basic Qualifications :
35+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis or related role.Experience in market research, strategy or data analytics.Experience in Banking, Payments and / or Fintech.Experience in a corporate strategy or consulting environment.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics or related field.Preferred Skills / Experience :
Market Research : Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.Strategic Planning : Understanding of business strategy and market dynamics.Analytical Thinking : Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify patterns.Data Visualization : Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI and Excel.Communication : Strong written and verbal skills to present insights clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of productsTechnical Proficiency : Familiarity with SQL, Python or other data tools.Adaptability : Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Understanding of financial metrics and business operations.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.Knowledge of cloud platforms, e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.This position offers a hybrid / flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range : $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
