Job descriptionProvide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies tailored to technology, media, and telecommunications environments. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe for unusual behaviors or conditions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities and incidents encountered during patrols. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related issues as they arise. Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol
As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Rock Tavern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication.
