Summary
A qualified individual for this position will support in discovering the best suppliers, strategize and standardize the procurement / purchasing organization in North America to support our growing business.
Responsibilities :
- Support in analyzing the impact of related federal laws / acts, customer / competitor trends, federal regulations, and presidential actions in North America
- Support tariff analysis by country or by item, and analyze the impact on our supply chain
- Understand and review federal laws / acts, federal regulations, and / or tariffs that may affect our supply chain
- Monitor the supplier's countermeasures and collaborate with HQ to resolve issues
- Monitor developments and changes in the supply chain and stay up to date with federal laws / acts, and regulations
- Support evaluation of both new and existing suppliers' supply chains in accordance with prevailing federal and state-level policies to maintain compliance and proactively configure procurement strategies
- Monitor Customer (OEMs, ESS Developers, etc.) and Competitor (Battery R&D and Manufacturers) activities in the U.S.
- Understand the global supply chain for the Li-ion battery industry, especially focusing on cell materials and pack components
- Structure a standardized supply system flow through strengthening the competitiveness of North American Battery Material
- Collaborate with HQ purchasing / procurement guidance to identify and define the requirements to promote a uniform strategy and system
- Identify North America's local suppliers and constantly update the landscape for changes
- Support in the audit of current purchasing suppliers and review construction progress, production status, quality issues, etc.
- Benchmark and research the status of the battery market locally and provide strategies for any foreseeable issues
- Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned such as TMM support to HQ Purchasing and Partners, attending required meetings relating to designated procurements, etc.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the related fieldMinimum of 1 year of analytic experience in the automotive industry preferred1+ year in procurement / development / sales and marketing in Li-ion Battery Cell / Pack experience preferredBachelor's degree in supply chain or equivalentBilingual in Korean and English is requiredAbility to work in a changing environment with rapid growthAbility to maintain a high level of accuracy with data integrityStrong verbal and written communication skillsSkilled in Microsoft Office SuiteWilling to travel 20%Benefits Overview
