Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
  • Certification in Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) preferred
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse needs
  • Commitment to professional development and best practices in education

Details :

  • Location : Boston, MA
  • Schedule : 6 hour day for the 5 weeks of ESY program (7 / 7 / 25-8 / 8 / 25.) Exact times TBD based on hours of assigned site.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Provide direct instruction in core subjects, adapting materials for accessibility
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as required
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
