Data Center Engineer - 3rd Shift

Overview

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Center Engineer for a contract-to-hire position in Nashville, TN. This position will be Thursday to Monday 12 am - 8 am EST - 3rd shift. Compensation : $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

The data center engineer will be responsible for carrying out critical project tasks and day-to-day operations.

Those tasks and operations will require someone with good problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Tasks will vary from being as simple as correcting a cable label to installing all equipment in a rack and simple configurations within the network switches and UCS managers.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience working in large scale data centers and fast paced environments.
• Extensive experience with rack / stacking / cabling in data centers and around production equipment.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS platforms (equipment, configurations & setup)
• Data Center Inventory Management tools such as Nlyte or Sunbird (Nlyte preferable)
• Copper and Fiber cabling knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to fully troubleshoot and repair server blades from dimm replacements to motherboard replacements.
• Microsoft Excel understanding will also be a plus.
