• 12-hour shifts starting 6 am with variable end times
• 2 - 6 patients per shift with 1 - 3 admissions
• 1 : 3 weekend coverage and call rotation
• Call response time : 20 minutes
• Surgical assisting, vein harvesting, and patient rounding
• Central line and chest tube placement skills needed
