About the Role

The firm is seeking a talented Lead Counsel with expertise in civil litigation defense to become an integral part of its dynamic team. We are looking for a strategic thinker with at least 7 years of litigation experience who can independently manage a diverse caseload while leading case teams and providing trusted advisory services to clients.

Key responsibilities include

Leading all phases of civil litigation, from case strategy to trial or settlement

Drafting and arguing motions

Taking and defending depositions

Supervising the professional development of junior attorneys and paralegals

Developing and implementing litigation strategies that align with client goals

Participating in business development initiatives

Applicants should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, be an active member of the California State Bar, and have a proven track record of managing complex cases with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of both state and federal litigation procedures, along with exceptional legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior attorneys is also essential.
