Job description

Park City Animal Clinic is seeking a Lead Surgery Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced veterinary technicians who are passionate about surgery and ready to take the next step in their career by providing leadership within a supportive environment!

In this role, you will provide leadership to our surgical team while performing advanced surgical technician responsibilities, including preparing surgical patients, assisting in a variety of procedures, monitoring anesthesia, and ensuring proper instrument handling. Leadership responsibilities will include delegating daily tasks to optimize surgical workflow, maintaining safety and medical standards, mentoring and training team members, and fostering a collaborative and positive culture within the surgery department.

This is an ideal position for someone with strong clinical and surgical skills, high emotional intelligence, excellent multi-tasking and time management abilities, and a passion for cultivating a positive and efficient surgical team.

This is a full-time position, with a 4 / 10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

Full-time benefits and compensation

  • Compensation : $20-27 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Bonus package and Sign-on Bonus : $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure

Minimum qualifications and skill set :

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in the following skills :
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

  • Working with a team
  • Assisting with surgery prep, monitoring, and recovery
  • Client Communication and education
  • Veterinary Technicians at Park City Animal Clinic play a hands-on role in all areas of patient care, including anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education. With over three decades of service and AAHA accreditation, the clinic is known for its personalized care and investment in both patient outcomes and team development. Technicians have access to a wide range of tools, including digital radiology, EKG monitoring, and robust in-house laboratory capabilities. Ongoing training and mentorship are provided, and a collaborative approach helps ensure each team member is supported and valued.
