This position provides the opportunity to work on exciting communications programs for leading healthcare brands, develop key relationships with healthcare industry clients, and manage strategic outreach to the media, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals and consumers. Responsibilities
Play a pivotal role in day-to-day activities for the H&LS practice’s account teams, working with senior team members to oversee projects, connect across healthcare and agency teams, and provide client counsel.
Be flexible and facilitate teamwork within the account team; coordinate resources and create opportunities for junior staff to take on more responsibility; utilize agency resources to assemble effective client teams.
Develop and provide feedback on high-quality written materials, including strategic plans, press materials, social copy, client correspondence, etc.
Drive strategic plans and communications campaigns aligned with client business objectives to deliver results.
Develop relationships and coordinate outreach with external audiences : third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc.
Develop and monitor client program plans and budgets for profitability; report status to client and agency management regularly.
Explore and create opportunities for incremental business growth within client organizations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
A minimum of 6+ years of biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience within a communications agency is required.
Curiosity and interest in the evolving field of healthcare and communications.
Applied strategic thinking, anticipation of issues / trends, and ability to translate insights into actionable ideas for clients and the healthcare team.
Collaborative team member and leader with strong project management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to translate clinical data into lay language for diverse client stakeholders.
Understanding of the role of digital media in integrated communications and traditional, digital, and social media healthcare environments.
Ability to develop strategic outreach plans to external audiences via social platforms, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and media.
Ability to supervise and train junior account staff, provide quality control, and manage workflow and assignments.
Excellent writing and editing skills, including development and strategic direction of press materials and communications plans.
Demonstrated strategic media relations planning, with the ability to develop media pitch angles, lead pitch teams, and pitch story ideas to reporters.
Strong client relationship skills and the ability to represent FH and client companies to key stakeholders.

The anticipated salary ranges are : Managing Supervisor : $71,000.00 - $125,000.00; Vice President : $77,000.00 - $175,000.00. Salary is based on experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and other benefits.
