Overview :
You will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services that range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft. Specifically, you will be instrumental in the development and enhancement of our special mission aircraft, ensuring they meet the unique needs and stringent requirements of our clients.
Your responsibilities will include consulting with program management, design engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to develop the most efficient and cost-effective means of producing our products at the highest quality possible. You will review engineering designs for producibility and oversee all aspects of design conception through implementation. This includes the development of tooling and fixtures, work instructions, and production processes and procedures. Additionally, you will apply manufacturing technologies and industry best practices during the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that our special mission aircraft are built to the highest standards and performance criteria.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command / control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB)
Experience with new product introduction and transition to production
Experience with CATIA CAD software to create detailed tool designs and drawings
Experience with new product introduction and transition to production
Experience with CNC programming and machining
Experience with aircraft modification
Experience interacting with shop floor personal from project conception through implementation
Familiarity working with vendors on outside tooling fabrication
Education :
Bachelor's of Science degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes
Capability working in multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with work instruction / traveler development
Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance
Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements :
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Rarely lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
