Job description

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine in Michigan.

Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine

Position Type :

Location : Michigan

Shift : Days (flexible; 5 shifts / week, including weekends)

Start Date : 4 / 1 / 2025

End Date : Ongoing

Position Details :

  • Patient Population : Adults (18+)
  • Setting : Inpatient substance use disorder treatment; residential treatment
  • Responsibilities :

Provide trauma-informed care for addiction treatment

  • Manage stable anxiety, affective, personality, and psychotic disorders
  • Supervise voluntary, non-restrained patients
  • Required Procedures : Familiarity with pharmacotherapy and involuntary commitments
  • EMR System : CDHR (training provided)
  • Support Staff : 2 psychiatrists, 2 advanced practice providers, master-level social workers, and licensed counselors
  • Days Per Month : Flexible schedule; 40-hour work weeks
  • On-Call / Weekends : Weekend shifts required, provider can choose their 5-day schedule

    • Submission Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Preventive Medicine (FM or IM with Addiction Medicine BE accepted)
  • Active MI license or IMLC ( REQUIRED )
  • Clean background check ( REQUIRED )
  • BLS certification ( REQUIRED )
  • Local providers preferred
