  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist / Laborist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient care, managing patient assessments, and coordinating treatment plans in a hospital setting. Applicants must provide efficient, cost effective obstetrical care and gynecological care using evidence based medicine. Evaluates patients in triage on Labor & Delivery or Emergency Department admitting patients when needed. Managers and delivers Obstetrical patients.

    • Duties
    • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
    • Assists with C-Sections.
    • Rounds on hospitalized, antepartum and post-operative patients.
    • Covers all Emergency Room call coverage for OB / GYN when on shift.
    • Provides both Inpatient and Emergency department consultations.
    • Manage inpatient care for a diverse patient population, including those with complex medical needs.
    • Utilize EHR systems and EMR systems effectively for documentation and communication.
    • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options and health management.
    • Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions of care post-hospitalization.
    • Qualifications
    • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree required.
    • Licensed in the state of California as an OB / GYN.
    • DEA Certification required.
    • Prior experience as an OB / GYN preferred. (at least 3 years experience)
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.
    • Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.
    • Bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred.
    • Strong clinical skills with experience in hospital medicine; critical care experience is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in using EHR systems.
    • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.

      Pay : $172,800.00 - $244,800.00 per year
