Job Description
Field-based specialty representative. Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage sales performance, and oversee assigned territory and targeted accounts. Build strong customer relationships and focus on customer needs to maximize sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. to meet or exceed objectives.
- Create pre‑call plan using SMART objectives and execute post‑call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win‑win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments / dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, and share market intelligence with the in‑field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify, develop and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers / advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business‑related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.Relevant industry experience required : at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical / health / science industry; high school diploma / GED required.In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; proficient use of business tools.Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills.Influences others; credible role model; builds collaborative partnership with district colleagues and matrix team; leads by example.Documented success in leadership and support role of increased responsibility at district, region, or organizational levels.Preferred : Proven sales performance within therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical industry experience.Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.Key Stakeholders
External : Specialty Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on the brand plan.Internal : In‑field team members, Sales Management, Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, and Brand Plan stakeholders.Additional Information
